Creatine product
Functional drink idea, validated across chemistry, regulation and unit economics.

Breakdown
Creatine is booming in drinks, but creatine breaks down in acidic liquid over time. My first idea, a soda with 10 grams of creatine, sounded great and would not survive a shelf.
- Creatine degrades in a can over months
- 10 grams in one serving causes stomach issues for many
- The EU health claim only covers 3 grams a day
Run the idea through science, regulation, competition, demand and economics before building anything. The result changed the product: lower dose, creatine kept dry until opening, and later a pivot to 3 gram sticks for adults over 55 who do strength training.
- Five research tracks before any spend
- Stage gates and kill criteria written up front
- Pivot based on evidence, not taste
Built
- Verdict: 3/10 for the 10 gram soda, 7/10 for a stabilised 3 to 5 gram version
- Private concept storefront, brand system and supplier dossier
- Financial model showing where the economics break
Not yet
- No product produced or sold
- Formula, shelf-life testing and trademark still open
How it works
Is a 10 gram creatine soda a real business?
Science, regulation, competitors, demand, economics.
Not as planned, but a 3 gram version could be.
Sticks first for over-55 strength trainers, drinks later.
